The most important requirement for receiving a Social Security payment this week will be your date of birth. If you qualify for retirement benefits but did not receive them in November, this is your next payday.
In fact, you are more than likely to qualify for a payment on November 27, the last payday of the month.
The Social Security check or direct deposit on the 27th is for retirees whose birthday falls between the 21st and the 31st, regardless of the month they were born in. It will not be your payday if you are on SSI or received benefits prior to May 1997.
How much will Social Security recipients get on Nov. 27?
The amount received by each Social Security beneficiary varies. This is because not all retirees have the same work experience. So, your payment amount is based on:

- the earnings you had as a worker
- the jobs you had and if they were covered by SSA
- the number of years you worked

Actually, Social Security’s payment schedule confirms that the next payment after November 27 will be on December 3. To qualify, you must have received benefits since before May 1997 or be on SSI.
Keep in mind that the December SSI payment will be issued on November 29, 2024. It will be sent ahead of schedule to avoid delays due to SSA offices being closed on December 1, 2024. Other eligible retirees will receive payments on Wednesdays December 11, 18, and 24.
