The Columbus Division of Police has arrested and charged two men in connection with last week’s fatal shooting in the Mount Vernon neighborhood.
Giavon Hayes, 19, and Mi’Shawn Thomas, 18, have both been charged with the murder of Darnell Brown-Jones, age 18.
The shooting happened on November 14 at around 10:30 p.m. Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 900 block of Eton Grove, near I-670.
Brown-Jones was found with a gunshot wound and pronounced dead at 10:38 p.m.
According to investigators, robbery is a possible motive for the shooting.
Columbus police took Hayes into custody on Tuesday, while Reynoldsburg police arrested Thomas on Thursday.
