Disability benefits are very helpful for people who have a qualifying disability. The Social Security Administration has confirmed that there will only be two SSDI checks in November. However, people who get SSI are in for a big surprise. Supplemental Security Income recipients will get another payment on Black Friday, even if they already got one in early November.
This SSI payment on Black Friday was supposed to be sent on December 1, but the SSA had to change the date and send it early. Since December 1 is a Sunday, neither SSA nor any banks will be open. Checks and direct deposits for SSI will be sent out on November 29, 2024, so there are no delays. But it won’t take as long to get SSDI payments.

People who get disability benefits got them between November 1 and November 13, so it’s important to let them know that they won’t get their monthly payment until December.
But if you haven’t gotten your Social Security Disability Insurance payment yet, you might get it on November 20 or November 27, 2024. See below for eligibility:
- SSDI payment on November 20: if your birth date falls from the 11th to the 20th
- SSDI payment on November 27: if your birth date falls from the 21st to the 31st
- SSDI payment on December 3: on benefits before May 1997 or getting SSI on Dec. 1 2024 too
Who will receive an SSDI check of $3,822 on November 20 or 27?
This big check or direct deposit will go to workers who were able to work for 35 years and made the most money that was taxed during that time. Because of this, it probably won’t get such a big payment.
Also, you had to work at jobs that were covered by SSA and file when SSA says you should have. Most of the time, SSDI will only pay $1,542 in disability benefits. If your payment is too low, you can apply for SSI instead. You can get both types of disability.
