SSDI payments will be issued on January 3, 8, 15, and 22. All of these Social Security Disability Insurance payments will reflect the 2025 COLA increase. For those who are unaware of the magnitude of this increase, disability benefits will rise by 2.5% due to the cost-of-living adjustment.

Remember that before receiving Disability Insurance benefits, you must have filed and received approval from the Social Security Administration. Once you qualify, you will continue to receive them for the duration of your eligibility.

SSDI checks worth $1,580 – Who can receive them?

If you begin receiving disability benefits before May 1997, the Social Security Administration (SSA) will pay you an average of $1,580 on January 3. They are worth an average of $1,542 in December 2024.

However, there are other ways to qualify for these monthly payments. In fact, if they are also receiving Social Security, Supplemental Security Income recipients can receive an SSDI check on January 3rd.

Keep in mind that those who do not qualify for SSDI on January 3 must meet the birth date requirement to be eligible for one of the remaining three payments.

SSDI payments after January 3

The Social Security Disability Insurance payments due on January 11 will be for recipients whose birthdays range from 1 to 10, regardless of the month they were born.

The third Wednesday paycheck will be issued on January 18. However, it will only be sent to those whose birth dates range from 11 to 20.

Finally, some SSDI recipients will receive their monthly payments on January 25. This will be the payment date for those who were born between 21 and 31, regardless of the month. Some disability benefits will be above average.

This is possible if the worker has been paying Social Security taxes for over 35 years and earns a high wage. In fact, the highest SSDI payment will be worth up to $4,018 in 2025.
