A jury finds the man guilty of killing two people at the Superior bar

In the month of August 2023, the guy who was suspected of killing both his wife and a bartender in Superior has been found guilty of the crime.

Kraig Walter Benson was found guilty of both the crime of premeditated homicide and the use of a weapon in the commission of the crime by a jury in Hamilton.

The shooting deaths of Jenny Benson and Logan Gardner, which occurred at the Four Aces Bar, had led to the filing of charges against him.

Benson was found not guilty of the crime of manslaughter with a modified intent to kill.

It has not yet been decided when Benson will be sentenced for his crime.

Defense attorneys had maintained that Benson was in a state of great mental distress at the time of the shooting because he had just learned of an alleged affair between his wife and Gardner. This was the justification for their argument.

During his testimony on Wednesday, Benson himself took the stand and stated that he had no recall of the murders that had taken place.

During the course of the cross-examination, the prosecution argued that Benson was able to recall specific things that Jenny Benson had said to him shortly prior to the shooting.

However, Benson later testified that he was unable to recall the actual shooting itself.

The relocation of the trial from Mineral County to Hamilton was done in order to ensure that the jury would be impartial. It was a judge from Missoula who presided over the case.
