During the early hours of Saturday morning, a shooting that involving a law enforcement officer took place at a casino hotel located close to Cincinnati.
The Hollywood Casino Hotel in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, which is around 30 miles away from Cincinnati, was the location where the police were called because of complaints of a man who was threatening another individual with a knife.
The incident occurred just before one o’clock on Saturday morning.
When three officers from the Lawrenceburg Police Department arrived at the site, they discovered that the individual had begun discharging a gun on the fourth floor of the hotel, as reported by the Indiana State Police.
When the officers arrived on the fourth floor, they discovered the man in the corridor who was equipped with a revolver. They ordered him to put down the weapon without further delay.
According to reports, the man, who has not been identified, then began shooting, and officers responded by firing back, hitting and killing him.
A single individual did incur minor injuries when accosted by the suspect who was armed with a knife, but no officers were wounded in the incident.
The cops who were engaged in the shooting are currently placing themselves on administrative leave in accordance with the protocol of the department.
The Indiana State Police, the shooting is being investigated.
