Local authorities scoured a Liberty Township neighborhood early Tuesday after police say two men fled, one of whom was brandishing an assault weapon.
Just after midnight, Liberty Police stopped a car for an alleged traffic violation at Mansell Drive and Fifth Avenue, and two men jumped out and fled.
According to police, one of the men ran toward Youngstown with an assault rifle.
State troopers and a K-9 tracking dog searched the area but were unable to locate the two men.
Police are questioning the other two men who remained in the car.
