A woman was officially charged in an OVI hit-and-run accident that caused serious harm to a bicyclist

An official charge has been brought against a woman who is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs during a hit-and-run accident that resulted in a man suffering serious injuries.

According to the indictment, Brittany Duncan, who is 36 years old, was charged with one count of aggravated vehicular assault and one count of failing to stop after an accident.

According to the records of the Greene County Common Pleas Court, she was also charged with a misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

She was found to have tested positive for benzodiazepines, opiates, and other drugs, according to a crash report that was found online.

During the incident that occurred on March 2nd, Duncan was operating a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu on Old Yellow Springs Road when she drove off the side of the road close to Butternut Drive.

According to the report, this occurred when she pulled back onto the road and collided with a Gray Mongoose motorcycle that was in front of her.

It has also been reported that Duncan fled the scene.

It was determined that the motorcyclist, a man from Centerville who was fifty years old, had sustained serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

There is evidence that Duncan was taken into custody on Tuesday in Fairborn, according to online jail records. Her bail amount is set at $75,000 at this time.

The date of her trial has been scheduled for January 6th, 2025.
