An Ohio woman has been charged in connection with a robbery scheme at NorthPark Mall in 2023

A woman from Cincinnati, Ohio, was arrested Friday in connection with an alleged robbery at Davenport’s NorthPark Mall in July 2023.

Lamaya Winslow, 29, is charged with second-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit a forcible felony, both Class C felonies.

On the afternoon of July 8, 2023, Davenport Police responded to a robbery report at NorthPark Mall.

According to police, Winslow conspired with others to rob a department store in the mall and served as the ‘get-away driver’ in an SUV with stolen plates used in the crime.

In April, a Cincinnati man was arrested and charged as a co-conspirator in the alleged robbery scheme.

Brandon Hardin, 19, has been charged with second-degree robbery, a Class C felony, conspiracy to commit non-forcible felony, a Class D felony, and assault on a person in a specific occupation, an aggravated misdemeanor.

According to arrest affidavits, Hardin entered a department store’s employee-only area and stole several high-end bags from the glass case and shelf before fleeing.

An off-duty Davenport Police Department officer was in the store at the time and attempted to stop Hardin while identifying himself as ‘Davenport Police,’ according to arrest affidavits.

According to arrest affidavits, the off-duty officer confronted Hardin in the store and was punched in the left eye before Hardin ran out of the store, got into Winslow’s waiting SUV, and fled the scene.

According to arrest affidavits, more than $2000 in purses were taken prior to the physical confrontation.

According to arrest affidavits, Hardin and Winslow took a rental vehicle from Ohio to Iowa to commit a series of felony thefts.

Winslow is in the Scott County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

Hardin’s status hearing is set for April 1, with a final pretrial conference scheduled for April 16.

Hardin waived his right to a speedy trial and demanded a jury trial, which is set to begin on April 21 in Scott County.
