Archbishop of Cincinnati is healing after being hospitalized for fall, according to a spokeswoman

Archbishop Dennis Schnurr fell at home on February 3 and underwent surgery on Wednesday, according to the Joseph Cardinal Bernardin Council of the Knights of Columbus, which posted on social media Sunday.

A spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati stated that the fall was caused by neuropathy from his chemotherapy treatment.

She told WXIX TV in Cincinnati that Schnurr did not injure his spinal cord.

The representative also told Cincinnati media sites that the procedure went well and Schnurr is still recovering.

In May, our news partner WCPO in Cincinnati revealed that Archbishop Schnurr had been diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer.

News Center 7 contacted the Archdiocese of Cincinnati for an update on Archbishop Schnurr.
