FOURTH QUARTER
Mount Si 56, Auburn 50: The defending Class 4A champions win big, making eight of ten free throws in the final 1:32 to hold off Auburn. Hennig made all four free throws in the final 12.5 seconds, finishing with 18 points.
THIRD QUARTER
Mount Si 38, Auburn 35: A bizarre game with an incorrect “official” score (36-35). Auburn made four three-pointers after going nearly 12 minutes without a field goal.
SECOND QUARTER
Mount Si 23, Auburn 16: What a turnaround for the Wildcats, sparked by Mentink, who previously played at Auburn, and Hennig, who has 12 points. Auburn went scoreless in the second quarter, missing all sixteen field goals.
FIRST QUARTER
Auburn 16, Mount Si 8: It couldn’t have been a better start for Auburn (10-0), and a worse start for the defending Class 4A champions.
