Charges against Hamilton County's chief probation officer from the Bengals game incident have been dismissed

Jerry Campbell, Hamilton County Chief Probation Officer, had charges against him dismissed in court on Tuesday.

Jerry, 62, and his son, Christopher Campbell, were accused of attacking a 63-year-old man at the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Buffalo Bills game in 2023, according to court records.

The officer has been charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct.

According to court documents, Jerry and his son made restitution to the victim. It’s unclear how much was paid.

The victim gave a statement in court on Tuesday and is aware that the charges have been dismissed.

Christopher pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct and was fined $200 for court costs. An assault charge against him was also dropped.

The two men will not have to serve any jail time.

Jerry was placed on administrative leave during the case, as previously reported by Interim Court Administrator Thomas O. Beridon to FOX19 NOW.

It is unclear whether he is still a probation officer in Hamilton County.
