A father is accused of colliding with a fire truck while attempting to flee an OVI checkpoint in Madisonville on New Year’s Eve. Tresean Wade had his baby in the car at the time.
According to an officer, Wade was stopped at a traffic light at Madison Road and Red Bank for several cycles on Tuesday.
The officer discovered Wade asleep and knocked on his window, according to court documents. The officer noticed the baby in the backseat of the vehicle.
The officer told Wade to get out of the car. He got out, then got back in and allegedly crashed into the fire truck.
According to the officer, Wade then resisted arrest.
He’s charged with endangering children and obstructing official business.
