Cellphone footage captures the pivotal moments when an Ohio woman fatally shot another during a nighttime confrontation.
Akira Fletcher, 23, claimed self-defense, but Hamilton County prosecutors said her killing of Nyema Norton, 29, was murder.
Although Fletcher deleted the footage from his Facebook posts, the embed below includes both parts.
Norton and another woman are captured on video outside Fletcher’s vehicle in a parking lot on July 12. As previously reported, Fletcher stated that she called 911 twice.
She wrote, “I was punched in the face, rocks were thrown at me, and Nyema tried to get into my car.”
The video shows the women and Fletcher taunting each other. The women appeared to smash Fletcher’s back window in the first video.

At one point in the video, Fletcher yelled at the women and threatened to shoot them.
“You should be happy you don’t get clapped,” he responded. “Come anywhere near me, I bet you’re gonna get clapped.”
Fletcher’s first video ended with her appearing to start driving away, but the second video shows her vehicle stopped and the driver’s window smashed out. Norton and another woman are on the sidewalk, with a car between them and Fletcher’s vehicle.
Fletcher repeatedly told them that they were going to jail. “Hit me again.”
Norton moved forward, reached down out of sight of the camera, and lunged through the broken driver’s side window. Fletcher opened fire four times.
“She busted my driver side window out to attack me, she continued to try and get in my car to stab me and I let her hit me while I was on the phone with 911 asking for help,” concluded Fletcher’s account. “I repeatedly told them to stop. I never got out of my car to fight, and I let her punch me several times.”
Both Norton and the other woman were shot, but Norton died of her injuries on August 26.
A hearing in the case is scheduled for Tuesday, according to online records.
