Family remembers a mother of three who was hit and killed in Colerain Township

Kylee Linville was a devoted mother to her three young children. She died only one day before her 29th birthday.

On Sunday, just after midnight, a car struck the young mother on US-27 near West Kemper Road.

According to Colerain Township police, Linville died at the scene.

It is a dark stretch of highway with no pedestrian crossings. The driver remained and called 911.

“We hold no grudges against the driver. We understand as if it were an accident, and it has changed our lives in ways they never could have imagined.

But we appreciate that they stayed, called the police, and waited there. Linville’s cousin, Winnie Ingle, said it means a lot to them that she wasn’t alone.

Linville’s youngest child is only two years old, and her oldest is eight.

Ingle is the children’s godmother. She expresses her sadness that her cousin will not be present to see them grow up.

“They’re crying, you know, I don’t know if they really understand what’s going on, but it will set in with them eventually,” Ingle told me.

The family stated that they will do everything possible to support her children because they know that is all she would have wanted.

“She loved her babies and that they meant the world to her,” Ingle told me. “I think she would want everybody to know how much she loved them.”

The Colerain Township Police Department is investigating the crash.

There is a fundraiser to help with Kylee Linville’s funeral costs. Click here to learn how you can donate.
