Following a winter storm, an Ohio man passes away from suspected hypothermia

CINCINNATI, Hamilton County — An 83-year-old man in Cincinnati died from suspected hypothermia after the winter storm earlier this week.

The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office issued a report on the man’s death on Wednesday.

WKRC-12 reported that neighbors discovered the man cold to the touch on his front porch on Tuesday.

They drove him to the Lincoln Heights substation, where emergency medical services provided life-saving care, according to WKRC-12. The man later died in the hospital.

The man died after a winter storm hit southern Ohio. A portion of the Miami Valley received nearly 10 inches of snow.

Additional information was not readily available.

Authorities are working to notify the man’s family.
