While being up by a season-high score is nice, it’s even better (just ask Frenchtown). On Friday, they beat the Stevensville Yellowjackets 56-0 at home.
Six games this season have been won by 30 points or more, so the Broncs may be getting used to big wins.
Cole Johnson made a big difference for Frenchtown by running for 53 yards and a score. The highlight reel was made when Dawson Rodoni picked off a pass and ran it all the way home.
Given the score, it may not have been a surprise that Frenchtown was unbeatable on the ground and ran for 258 yards in the end of the game.
The team has now rushed for at least 211 yards in five straight games, so that strong showing wasn’t a surprise.
The quarterback was sacked twice before the game was over by Frenchtown, who didn’t let up. The picks came from Cole Pfahler and Rodoni.
Their record now stands at 8-0 after this win, which was their seventh straight at home since the beginning of the season. Stevensville, meanwhile, has lost 12 straight games, going back to the beginning of the season. They are now 0-8.
Butte Central Catholic will play Frenchtown on Friday at 7:00 p.m. This season, Frenchtown’s defense has only given up eight points per game.
This means that Butte Central Catholic’s attack will have to work hard. Stevensville’s game against Corvallis is on Friday at 7 p.m. Corvallis comes in with a strong offense—they’ve scored 35 points per game on average this season.
