Hill joins the race for Ohio Governor

ZANESVILLE,OH –  A Morgan County Business woman is throwing her hat in the ring to be Ohio’s next Governor.

Heather Hill was born and raised in Morgan County, and she aspired to improve the community where she lived.

Hill says the loss of two of her foster children inspired her to run for governor.

“Two of my foster children were shot and killed by law enforcement and at that time I had people that were contacting me.” Hill explained. “Asking me if I would consider running, to bridge the gap between law enforcement and people with mental illnesses.”

Hill says the voters she’s already spoken with are ready for change, and she’s willing to be a change agent.

She claims she represents those who have to work hard, fight, and struggle every day just to make ends meet.

“The main thing I will be doing is restoring common sense to the Governor’s Office. There are so many issues that Ohioans face, and one of the things that I will definitely be working on is ensuring that parents have constant communication with their children’s education and healthcare.”

Hill said. “I will work to ensure that they have every opportunity to make decisions for their children.

I’ll also be working on some tax issues for Ohio, such as ensuring that retirees can keep their homes and that young people can afford property taxes, which is a major issue right now.”

Hill will compete as a Republican against Vivek Ramaswamy and Dave Yost in the 2026 primary election.
