I didn't shoot you in the correct places': Woman allegedly begs to visit romantic sunset site, then shoots boyfriend many times before apologizing for her marksmanship

Recently, authorities released a Texas woman from jail for allegedly luring her longtime boyfriend to a field and shooting him multiple times.

Alexys Pinto, 23, is charged with one count of aggravated assault in the incident that left Elvis Munoz, 24, with multiple gunshot wounds on his body and a bullet in his back for months.

The shooting happened on September 5. The victim in recovery has struggled to explain the violence since then.

Pinto was initially upset with her boyfriend, a mechanic, on the day in question after one of his clients arrived at their home with a car for him to work on, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Houston Police Department.

When Munoz explained the nature of his work, Pinto allegedly erupted in rage, attempting to hit her boyfriend and successfully kicking one of their dogs.

According to authorities, Munoz stopped the attack by grabbing his girlfriend’s wrists and advising her to remain calm.

This encounter, however, was too brief, as Pinto allegedly demanded to know why Munoz touched her before abruptly changing her outward state to ask him if he remembered a specific location where they once watched the sunset together.

Munoz later told law enforcement that he did remember the location, which was a field. Pinto allegedly demanded that he take her there immediately.

According to the court documents, Munoz stopped at the requested intersection of State Highway 288 and Airport Boulevard. Then Pinto got out and started running down a hill. When Munoz called to her, she allegedly replied, “Come here!”

So he did. Then he caught up to her. Then things got weirder.

“Teach me about deer hunting,” the woman allegedly said, prompting a question from her boyfriend moments before he was shot in the chest.

The complaint describes what allegedly occurred next:

“Stupid ass n—-“, can be heard from the Defendant as, “She straight shot me”. The Complainant stated Defendant was said to have held the black gun, in a tilted manner. Complainant stated he was in a state of disbelief, then thought he had to run away. The Complainant stated the Defendant shot at him again, when he turned around to face the Defendant, he received another hit on his other hand, from the gun held by the Defendant. Complainant stated he held his chest and ran from the Defendant. Complainant stated he slips and falls, then looks up at the sky, waiting for the Defendant to shoot him again. Complainant stated as he laid on the ground, bleeding and in pain, he thinks in what he feels are his final moments, “Oh my God, it’s not my time, what did I do, what did I do?”

Munoz claims Pinto called someone on her phone to lie and say he shot her. The injured man then yelled, “I didn’t do that.”

“Call the ambulance, baby,” Munoz implored Pinto.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do you like that, and I didn’t shoot you in the right places!” was allegedly her response.

Munoz remained prepared for the worst, despite his confusion. He then placed his hand over his face, as it appeared that Pinto was aiming for the right spot. This time, as he shielded his head, a bullet struck his hand.

Munoz then screamed for an ambulance once more.

Pinto allegedly responded, “I didn’t mean to do you like this; it was supposed to be quick.”

After some cajoling, Pinto allegedly helped the injured man back into his truck before driving him to a nearby Citgo gas station, where strangers assisted Munoz.

On September 20, an unrelated disturbance call revealed the existence of an aggravated assault warrant, leading to Pinto’s arrest.

Bail in the case was initially set at $75,000 but was recently reduced to $10,000. The state initially requested $50,000 bail, then increased it to $1 million.

According to Houston ABC affiliate KTRK, Pinto was released from jail the same day Munoz was shot in the back.

“All I ever did was love her,” Munoz somberly told the television station.

Now, the victim expresses concern for the safety of his friends and family.

“She’s a danger to the community, to children, to family and friends, and to me as well,” he stated to KPRC. “She poses a threat not only to me and my friends, as she is aware of the locations of several of them, but also to my family.” She poses a threat not only to me and my friends, but also to my family, which includes my sister, nephew, mother, and father.

Law enforcement has not suggested a motive for the violence.

Munoz himself is perplexed.

“I have no idea,” he added. “I’ve always worked hard to provide the best possible care for her. At times, I would refrain from eating so that she could enjoy a delicious plate of food. She would be jealous and controlling, isolating me from my family and friends.
