I f—ing killed you, b—-': Man who shot his wife five times in the head while children were nearby learns his fate

A Michigan man who was convicted for murdering his wife while their young children were in the home will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

According to a press release from the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office, Steven Wheeler, 31, has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the first-degree murder of his estranged wife, Jordan Wheeler, 33.

Wheeler was convicted of the crime in January after a six-day trial that included testimony from the couple’s nine-year-old son, who was present when his father shot and killed his mother.

Jordan Wheeler’s 911 call on Oct. 19, 2023, while fighting for her life, was critical to the jury’s decision.

On that fateful day, she received a call from one of her children, who was at Steven Wheeler’s home; the couple was in the process of divorcing and living separately. Jordan Wheeler rushed to the house to get the children after they expressed concern about their father’s behavior. She recorded the argument on her phone.

The video allegedly shows Steven Wheeler verbally attacking his estranged wife, saying, “Get the f— out of my house” and “Get the f— out of my life.” Jordan Wheeler then entered the house, where Steven Wheeler grabbed her, prompting her to call 911 as her two sons, ages 7 and 8, fled the premises.

While Jordan Wheeler was still on the phone with 911, Steven Wheeler pulled out a gun and shot his wife five times in the head. He can be heard on the phone saying, “F— you. I f—ing killed you, b——. “I shot you in the f—ing head!”

In the press release, Lucido stated, “This was a senseless and brutal act of violence that took the life of an innocent woman and forever shattered the lives of her loved ones.” No punishment can undo the pain and loss that this family has experienced.

I hope this conviction sends a clear message that domestic violence will not be tolerated, and we will continue to pursue justice for victims and their families.”
