The Department of Revenue for the State of Alaska has sent out a new allowance payment. People who are eligible for the Permanent Fund Dividend will get a new check on November 27.
The person who is eligible for this check can get $1,702. This check is actually worth a lot of money. The new payment for 2023 in Alaska will be $1,702, which is more than the $1,312 payment for this year.
New Allowance from the PFD in Alaska payment schedule
In 2024, November 21 will not be the last day that people who are eligible can get this new allowance. In fact, you might not get paid on November 21, 2024, but December 19, 2024.
When December 11, 2024 comes around, you should check to see if you can get your money from this new allowance. Your payment will be sent to you on December 19 if it says “Eligible-Not Paid.”
The last payment for this new allowance in 2024 will be on December 19, 2024. But there will be one more check on January 16. You can see where your application stands on January 8, 2024, to find out if you are eligible.
Applications for this new allowance in 2025
In 2024, the application window is not open. Remember that March 31, 2024, was the last day to apply for it. Still, you won’t have to wait long because a new allowance is coming in 2025.
The application period for this PFD allowance for 2025 will run from January 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025. If you want to get a 2025 Permanent Fund Dividend, you must:
- be resident of Alaska during the full calendar year, 2024 for the 2025 payment.
- have the intention to continue living in the Great State of Alaska
- not claim residency elsewhere
- meet other eligibility criteria
- not be in prison, sentenced, incarcerated, etc.
