Tulsa, OK – A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for southern Latimer, southern Le Flore, and northeastern Pushmataha counties in southeastern Oklahoma due to severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. The warning is valid until 10:15 PM CDT tonight, April 4, 2025.
At 5:13 PM CDT, radar detected thunderstorms producing 1 to 2 inches of rain in the warned area. Flash flooding is either ongoing or expected to begin soon. Clayton, Talihina, Albion, and Talimena State Park are among the affected areas.
Flash flooding is especially dangerous in low-lying areas, poor drainage zones, and along highways, streets, and underpasses.
Local authorities advise residents to avoid driving on flooded roads. According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, flash floods frequently result in vehicle-related fatalities.
