OSHP: One killed and three injured in Morrow County crash; alcohol suspected factor

A crash early Sunday in Morrow County killed one person and injured three others.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Nissan Altima was traveling westbound on state Route 95 in Franklin Township just before 4 a.m. when the driver went left of center and collided with a Honda Civic head on.

The Nissan had three people inside when it crashed, while the Honda only had the driver.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to Marion General Hospital for minor injuries. According to OSHP, one of the passengers, 27-year-old Sandeep Yadav, was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

The other passenger in the Nissan was seriously injured and taken to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

The driver of the Honda was taken to Morrow County Hospital for minor injuries.

According to OSHP, alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
