If you’re one of the millions of Floridians who rely on SNAP benefits to meet their food needs, you probably want to know when your deposit will arrive this month. Here, we explain how the payment system works and when you can expect to receive it in April 2025.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a federal program that helps low-income families purchase basic foods.
In Florida, the program is managed by the Department of Children and Families (DCF), which is in charge of reviewing applications, approving recipients, and distributing funds on a monthly basis.
An EBT card, which functions similarly to a regular debit card, is used to receive benefits. It allows you to purchase foods such as fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products, and other necessities.
Of course, there are strict rules: you cannot use these funds to purchase alcohol, cigarettes, hot ready-made meals, or non-food items. If you break the rules, you risk losing the benefit.
How are SNAP benefits payment dates assigned in Florida?
Unlike other states, Florida distributes payments throughout the month, from the first to the 28th. Your case number determines the exact date you will receive your money. This number can be found in the official program documents and on the MyACCESS portal.
The system determines your date by using the eighth and ninth digits of your case number (ignoring the tenth). It is a method for distributing payments in an organized manner while avoiding congestion.
SNAP payment dates for the coming days of April 2025: Here’s the full breakdown so you know when your deposit drops this month:
- Case numbers ending in 11, 12, or 13: April 4
- Case numbers ending in 14, 15, 16 or 17: April 5
- Case numbers ending in 18, 19, or 20: April 6

If your number does not appear in this range, don’t worry: the pattern continues until all possible combinations are covered, reaching the 28th day of the month.

How much to expect from SNAP benefits in Florida?
