Payments of $5,180 reach the retirees’ checking account in less than 24 hours

Every month, the Social Security Administration of the United States sends a new check to beneficiaries who expect to receive their usual payment. However, not all citizens receive payments on the same day of the month. On top of that, we could receive our tax refund within the same week.

In order to receive the next payment, we must fulfill a mandatory requirement. But that’s not all; we also need to meet an additional requirement if we want to receive the benefit on the same day it is sent out.

All this correctly configures the payment schedule: the year of the beneficiary’s retirement and the day of birth. If we control both aspects, we will be able to know exactly when we will be able to receive the benefit check each month.

Who gets the Social Security check in 24 hours?

As previously stated, only the first of the Social Security groups will be able to receive the benefit on the following day of shipment. This group is made up of beneficiaries who received their benefits before May 1997.

However, if we want to receive the payment the same day it is sent, we must meet another requirement. Thus, Social Security benefit payments will arrive on March 3rd only for retirees who:

  • Have a check from before May 1997.
  • Have activated Direct Deposit as their collection method.

In this way, we will be able to receive the benefit on the same date, March 3, 2025. The remaining retirees who did not receive their checks prior to May 1997 will be able to receive them later in the month.

Remaining Social Security payments in March 2025

Thus, Social Security payments for retirees after May 1997 will arrive on the second, third, and fourth Wednesdays of this month. As a result, we have the following remaining payment schedule for March:

  • March 12th. Retirees after May 1997 are in this group. You must also have your birthday between the 1st and the 10th of any month.
  • March 19th. Retirees after May 1997 are in this group. Your birthday must also fall between the 11th and 20th of any month.
  • March 26th. Retirees after May 1997 are in this group. Your birthday must also fall between the 21st and 31st of any month.

With this in mind, we can ensure that all Social Security retirees, regardless of benefit type or amount, will receive their payment by the end of March. Of course, each person receives a different amount because the check that Social Security sends is completely unique.
