Police: Woman shoots one at local home after learning that her boyfriend and ex were together

A woman is accused of shooting a man at a New Year’s party after discovering that her boyfriend and ex-husband were there together.

Olivia Clendenin then crashed her mother’s SUV as she fled, according to Clearcreek Township Police. At 5 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to a home on Dearth Road in response to a reported drive-by shooting.

They discovered a man screaming in pain who had been shot in the abdomen. He was taken to the Atrium Medical Center. There is no word on his condition.

According to police, Clendenin’s ex-husband and boyfriend initially stated that no one else was present at the home. Several other people came forward, and two more were discovered hiding.

Clendenin’s ex eventually told police that he believed she was the shooter and was upset that the two were hanging out. Her boyfriend shared the same information.

They learned she had crashed a short distance away on McLean Road.

Clendenin faces felonious assault, using weapons while intoxicated and other gun charges.
