In a disturbing case from Kentucky, a 33-year-old mother named T. Lucas has been sentenced to two consecutive life sentences for the murders of her two young sons, Maurice, 6, and Jayden, 9. Lucas was found guilty of shooting the boys in the head inside their family home.
On November 8, 2023, the victims’ families were devastated to learn that Lucas had used a firearm against her own children in their bedroom, a heinous act that she initially described as “an accident.”
Reports indicate that Lucas attributed her actions to manipulation via Facebook, the internet, or Wi-Fi. This led to her initial defense strategy, which stated that she was not legally sane at the time of the shootings.
A neighboring couple first reported the incident after finding Lucas in their driveway and later discovering the horrific scene inside her home.
The neighbor immediately called 911, reporting that Lucas had made the distressing claim that her “kids were dying.” Following her arrest, Lucas told investigators during police questioning, “I’m in such a bad spot,” and lamented her actions, saying, “I’m so stupid.”
