SJ Update Following Tuesday's residential fire, 1 person was hospitalized and 7 were displaced

Seven people had to leave their homes in San Jose on Tuesday because of a fire that happened there. One person was taken to the hospital.

Around 4 p.m., there was a call for a two-alarm fire in the 10400 block of Singleton Road, close to the Seven Trees area.

San Jose Fire says that two people were checked for smoke inhalation and one was sent to the hospital.

Four people, three children, and five dogs had to leave their homes, and the Red Cross is helping them.

The Fire Department said that the outside of a house next door, as well as a car and an RV, were damaged.

Firefighters said the defensive action was needed because a power line had come down.
