Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) EBT cards will get monthly payments from November 28, 2024, until November 28, 2025. That’s the last day that people in just two states can get their Food Stamps. It’s important to remember that this food assistance program for low-income families in the United States is run by each state.
Some states will not send out any more payments in November because they have already sent out all of the Food Stamps. In fact, Alaska, Vermont, Rhode Island, and North Dakota were the only states that sent all of the SNAP money on November 1.

To plan your monthly budget and organize your grocery shopping, you need to know when your state delivers Food Stamps. Keep in mind that you can only get one of them, and that you can only get SNAP in the state where you live now.

Can SNAP benefits be used for online grocery shopping?
It is possible to use SNAP benefits to buy groceries online in all 50 states and the DC. Here are some important things to think about:
- The SNAP Online Purchasing Pilot began in April 2019 in New York, and has since expanded nationwide. As of September 2024, online purchasing is available in all states except two U.S. territories (Guam and the Virgin Islands).
- Major retailers participating in the SNAP online purchasing program include Amazon, Walmart, ShopRite, and others. The available retailers vary by state. 13
To use SNAP benefits online, you shop through the websites of participating retailers. At checkout, you can securely enter your EBT card PIN to pay for eligible grocery items. - Only eligible food items can be purchased with SNAP benefits online, the same as for in-store purchases. SNAP cannot be used to cover delivery fees or other associated charges.
- To find out if delivery is available in your area, check the retailer websites directly. Delivery zip codes are those where the retailers can provide their full line of groceries, including perishable items.
SNAP amounts in the 48 contiguous States in November
Just so you know, after October 1, 2024, the 2025 COLA increase is part of all SNAP benefits. The top amounts will stay the same until September 30, 2025.
The SNAP program lets people get up to $292 a month. If there are two people living in the same house, the maximum payment is $536.
A family of four can get up to $975, and a family of eight can get up to $1,756. Families can get $220 extra for each extra person if they have more than one child. You can get Food Stamps if you don’t make enough money to buy food.
