According to police, a New York man shot and killed his 75-year-old father, a retired police officer, at their Dix Hills home on Wednesday.

According to authorities, Christopher Miller, 43, fatally shot his father, John Miller, several times with a shotgun.

Miller reportedly got into a battle with the other motorist after being involved in an automobile accident on Monday, according to the police.

Miller had to be admitted to the hospital after the altercation and the accident. According to the authorities, Christopher’s father, John, tried to report him missing without knowing where his son was.

After some time, officers found Christopher at a nearby hospital, where his father picked him up.

An argument broke out after he and his father returned home to their shared house at 27 Bruno Lane. Before escaping to a shed on Seaman Neck Road, authorities claim Christopher went upstairs to his room, got out a shotgun, and shot his father.

According to authorities, the shed’s owner reported that someone was inside their property by calling 911.

The shed owner’s phone was answered by the same officer who had answered John Miller’s call, informing him that his kid had gone missing.

After returning Christopher Miller to his home at 27 Bruno Lane, where he had previously identified him, he learned that John had passed away.

Miller was taken into police custody and accused of second-degree murder. According to authorities, he will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip later after being taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries he acquired in the prior vehicle accident.

According to officials, Miller had divorced his wife and was now living with his father.
