According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, temperatures in Beeville, Victoria, and Alice will fall between 41°F and 45°F on Sunday night and early Monday.
Wind chill values are expected to range from 35°F to 45°F, particularly in inland areas like Tilden and Cotulla.
These below-average temperatures are part of a larger cold snap sweeping the region, with daytime highs struggling to reach the upper 60s to low 70s Sunday—13 to 17 degrees below average for early April.
Residents are advised to layer up and limit their outdoor exposure in the late night and early morning. Plants and pets that are sensitive to cold temperatures should also be protected.
The cold spell is expected to subside gradually, with temperatures rising throughout the week.
By Tuesday, highs will be in the upper 70s and low 80s, with temperatures reaching the upper 80s and 90s on Thursday and Friday.
