Trial for "Girl in the Box" kidnapper Cameron Hooker postponed until December once more

Today in San Mateo County, the trial to determine if Cameron Hooker should still be considered a sexually violent predator was continued again.

Hooker is the person who was found guilty in the famous “Girl in a Box” case from Tehama County. He took Colleen Stan hostage and tortured her.

Stan was his sex slave for seven years, from 1977 to 1984, in his home in Red Bluff.

The jury will decide after two weeks if Hooker will still be considered a sexually violent predator.

According to prosecutors, if he is deemed a sexually violent predator, Hooker will stay in prison. If not, he’ll be released into a halfway home.
