The wife of the brazen “migrant influencer” who encouraged other new immigrants to take up illegal residence in Americans’ homes now says none of that was cool — and has revealed that she has split from him just a week after President Trump deported him back to Venezuela.
Veronica Torres, Leonel Moreno’s wife and mother of their US-born child, previously spoke with The Post following his arrest in Ohio. She described herself as tearful and lost in the absence of her husband.
Torres now says she has left Moreno and hopes he learns from his mistakes in the United States.
“How sad to see how he could have been a better person and a good father, and yet he had a whole life ahead of him and did not take advantage of it as the father of your only daughter,” Torres said in a recent TikTok post that included images of Moreno walking off the deportation flight.
“I wish you luck and hope you can improve as a person, that you can think clearly, and that all the hate you carry inside does not go out on my daughter,” she told me.
Torres’ immigration status after her husband’s deportation was not immediately clear.
Torres told her followers in another social media video that the two had split up, responding to critics who claimed she was “ungrateful” for the “fame” he bestowed upon her.
“Regardless of how he wanted to give me fame or how I became famous or not, I do not see it that way,” she said.
“Many people tell me, ‘You should take advantage of it.’ But I am not interested. I just want to be an ordinary person who uploads something exciting on a daily basis; I am not interested in fame.
“Me and Leonel are no longer together, it is been a while since then, and it is really uncomfortable all those questions that people ask me, like what is going on, where is he,” according to her.
“I did not cross the Rio Grande to work like a slave,” he wrote in a post, holding up $100 bills.
Moreno also boasted about using his 1-year-old daughter to gain social media clout, while thanking “Papa Biden” for footing the bill to support the baby.
But Moreno quickly fell from grace when he was deported to Venezuela last week after the Trump administration reached an agreement with the Maduro regime to resume removal flights to the narco state.
The freeloading migrant irritated his fellow passengers on the flight back to Venezuela, who thought he misrepresented Venezuelan migrants, according to Venezuela’s Minister of Interior, Justice, and Peace, Diosdado Cabello.
Leonel had to be placed in an isolated section of the plane with security officers to keep the situation under control.
TikToker was released into the United States after illegally crossing the Texas border in 2022, but he failed to appear for required check-in appointments at his local Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office, and he was arrested in Gahanna, Ohio, in March 2024.
In October, an immigration judge ordered Moreno’s deportation.
At the time, the feds could not send him back to Venezuela because the Maduro regime refused to accept US flights.
Upon Trump’s return to the White House in January, his administration reached an agreement with the South American country to resume flights.
