CHARLES COUNTY, Md. — An 11-year-old is facing disciplinary action after allegedly threatening to kill students and teachers at a Charles County school, according to authorities.

According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), on Wednesday, March 19, the student threatened to kill all teachers and students at F. B. Gwynn Educational Center with a gun.

The School Resource Officer (SRO) contacted the student’s relatives and searched their home, but found no firearms.

Under Maryland law, the student cannot be charged based on their age. However, the sheriff’s office stated that the SRO notified the Charles County Department of Juvenile Services.

The student will face disciplinary consequences under the Code of Student Conduct, according to the CCSO.
