Police in Washington state released video footage this week that shows two people who are suspected of killing a mother of five walking up to a family home and pausing for a moment while a neighbor drives by.
They then opened fire on the home, killing the mother.
Charles Williams, Carolynn Williams’s husband, was rubbing her feet when she was shot in the head by the suspects in February of last year. Charles Williams and local police say she was 45 years old.
Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office said that when the shooting happened that night at 1:21 a.m., four of her children were asleep in the house.
A few months ago, Charles Williams told the Seattle Fox affiliate KCPQ, “As soon as I heard the first shot, I told her they were shooting and told her to come follow me.” “But she had been hit before.”
On February 24, 2023, someone shot Charles Williams and his children, but they were not hurt. It was a gunshot wound to the head that killed his wife on March 2, 2023.
“It was the scariest feeling in the world when I heard the gunshots stop,” Charles told KCPQ. “I thought they were coming in to kill everyone.”
Investigators think that Williams herself was not the target of the attack, even though her home was.
Police did not respond right away to Law&Crime’s requests for comment, so it is not clear if Charles was the person they were after or someone else who has been seen at the house.
Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound and KCSO released new surveillance footage on Tuesday that shows Williams’ alleged killers outside her home right before they shot her.
Also, the suspects were seen on video driving and parking a dark-colored four-door sedan nearby in a March 2023 clip. However, this new video is the first time police have shared pictures of the suspects walking up to the Williams house.
I believe these people are very violent, and I do not see any reason to think this was a one-time thing for them, Kitsap County Sheriff’s Detective Tim Flint told KCPQ this week.
Flint said, “We think they are either from Kitsap or have strong ties to the Kitsap area.” “These people planned this and knew where they were going.” There were plans for them to shoot up this house; it was not an accident.
Crime Stoppers or the sheriff’s office want anyone who knows anything about what happened to call them.
